Ethical principles

To publish accurate and authentic scientific information, Iranian Journal of Rangelands and Forests Plant Breeding and Genetic Research commits itself to the ethical professional principles in the form of the COPE ethics charter.

In this regard, the following are necessary as ethical principles for editorial board members, reviewers and authors:

The author must know and be committed to all the ethical principles.

Ethical principles and the ethics charter are defined in the publication of scientific products, and in the case of non-compliance by the author (s), this journal considers each national or international legal action as its right. Submitting a manuscript by the author constitutes knowing and complying with these rights. The author and the journal members must accept and agree with the ethical principles and the journal charter.

Submitted manuscripts must be relevant to the journal specialized field and be the result of the research work of the author (s).

Articles or their parts should not be under revision or publication simultaneously with any other journals in Iran or abroad.

Papers presented in the form of abstracts in congresses, symposia, national and international seminars that have been published previously, can be submitted as a full article. The journal has authority to reject or accept, edit, summarize or modify the received manuscripts.

The correction and summarization of the manuscript content is performed according to the authors' opinion and the authors are responsible for the accuracy of the article content and the correspondence. Publication of the article does not imply endorsement of its contents.

Rejected or withdrawn articles will be removed from the journal archive after six months and the journal will not be responsible for them.

If you use the content of others, the desired source should be referred to the mentioned source with full number and information.

Submitted articles must not have been previously published in any other journals; therefore, it is mandatory to complete the commitment form not to submit the manuscript to other journals for publication or review at the time of submission.

The manuscript will be in the custody of the journal until the time of publication.

 

Publishing decision

The journal reserves the copyright laws of other literary works, and the rights of individuals are reserved at the time of publication.

 

Fair decisions

Decisions about submitted manuscript will be made regardless of the authors' race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnicity, citizenship, or political philosophy.

 

Confidentiality of information

The personal information of the authors is strictly confidential to all who have access to it, such as the editor-in-chief, editorial board members and the journal internal editor and other active members such as reviewers, consultants, editors and trusted publishers at all times.

 

Duties of the authors

Submission of scientific and standard manuscripts:

Authors should prepare their manuscripts scientifically and coherently, according to the journal instruction. The method used in the article should be done accurately and objectively and the data should be reported correctly. The rights of others should be respected through full citations in the manuscripts. Refrain from expressing sensitive and immoral issues, tastes and personality traits, race and religion, and false and inaccurate information and translations of other people's works without mentioning the title in the manuscripts.

 

Provide raw data as needed:

 If necessary, the author should provide raw data, interviews or questionnaires and other tools used in the research. Public access to this information (compliant with the ALPSP-STM statement) helps to improve the performance of articles.

 

Originality of the submitted manuscript:

The submitted manuscripts should be the work of their author(s) and any use of other people's research should be referred in the article.

It is against the law to submit an article to several journals or even accepted to other journals at the same time.

 

Appropriate referrals:

It includes referring to all books, publications and websites and other researches in the bibliography.

 

Determine the corresponding author and write the names of co-authors in the manuscript and be careful for the unrelated names;

Corresponding author is a person who has played a major role in the preparation, design and execution of the article, and other authors are mentioned as co-author in the article. Corresponding author should make sure that the names and information of all other authors written and that there are no names other than these authors. Also, all authors have read the manuscript and agreed to submit it.

 Any dangers posed to humans or other creatures by any author's research should be clearly stated in the article;

Any risks posed to human health or other creatures by any author's research should be clearly stated in the article.

 

Declaration of financial support

Authors should also introduce all sponsorships of the article,

Authors should report all the major errors in articles;

Whenever the author finds any errors or inaccuracies in his article, it should be informed to the publication, and the manuscript must be corrected or withdrawn.

 

Declaration and approval of article submission

Submission of the manuscript indicates that the author(s) acknowledges that the article has not been published in any other sources (except parts of a thesis or abstract in academic institutions). Also, all authors are aware of and satisfied with the publication and their position in the article.

Submission of the manuscript also indicates that the related institution, financial sponsor or research location has expressed its consent to the publication of the research to the corresponding author.

The author(s) also commit(s) that during the process of reviewing or accepting the article, this article or article with similar results in Persian or English (or any other languages) will not be sent to any other publications. Otherwise, the publication reserves the right to complain. The author(s) must undertake not to write any source, material or data in the manuscript without citing the source, and in the case of the mentioned sources, legal permission has been obtained from the main source.

 

Copyright

Once the article has been accepted by the journal, the author(s) is (are) asked to complete the publication agreement form and submit it to the editor-in-chief. This agreement file includes the copyright of the article. Acceptance of these terms will help to disseminate information appropriately and widely.

 

Ethical principles of the editorial board

The editorial board members have the same attitude to evaluate the received manuscripts only based on the scientific quality and without considering the authors' names and their affiliations (careful and non-biased review of manuscripts).

Editors-in-chief and the editors are required to review and announce the final decision to all the manuscripts within the specified time period.

Editor-in-chief consults with specialized secretaries to determine the expert and committed reviewers for each manuscript according to the subject.

Careful review and determination of innovation and compliance of the manuscript with the journal aims and scope is done by the editorial board members.

The editorial board is required not to disclose the information of the article before publication.

It is not possible to delete, add or change the order of the authors after the final acceptance of the article.

After all the review processes, issuance of acceptance certificate and publication of the article will be based on the final acceptance date.

 

Ethical principles of the reviewers

If the subject of the article does not fit with the expertise of the reviewers, they do not accept to review.

The article is evaluated accurately and impartially by the reviewers.

Accept or reject to review (for any reason) will be announced as soon as possible.

They are required to keep the information of the manuscript submitted for reviewing.

They are required to announce their correct and clear comments within the certain time of reviewing.
